Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment
For almost 50 years, the Yellowknife Geoscience Forum has been an opportunity for stakeholders in our resource sector to gather and share geoscience research – industry and exploration updates – and information about mining in the North
Unfortunately, like many events, this year’s geoscience forum was cancelled.
Instead, the Northwest Territories Geological Survey – and the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines – have collaborated to present this on-line symposium of academic posters and pre-recorded presentations.
They are a reminder that while COVID has impacted many things about our North, it has not changed the rich potential that exists in our mineral resources.
The Government of the Northwest Territories is committed to developing these resources for the benefit of all NWT residents – and we are working to restore our mineral development sector, to a position of growth and prosperity.
Thank you for your interest in the Northwest Territories. Please enjoy and share the presentations on this site – and I will see you – hopefully in person – at next year’s geoscience forum.
